1971 XLH Boattail Harley Sportster
Jim from Simsbury, Connecticut, United States kindly made available these photographs of his original 1971 XLH Boattail Harley Sportster which sports Willie G Davidson's experimental fiberglass tail section. Jim owns and operates the New England Musclebike Museum, and you might want to check out his other Harley Boattail Sportster which is a 1970 XLH.
Jim: "This is my first Boattail XLH 900. In the year 1971, the tail section was a $60 option (until the factory used up the ones they made for 1970). This bike is judged 96 points in AMCA judging."
